Itadori Yuji is the protagonist of the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. He begins as a seemingly ordinary high school student with exceptional physical abilities living with his grandfather. He is cheerful and empathetic, dedicated to protecting others.

Yuji's life drastically changes when he swallows a cursed object - one of the fingers of Ryomen Sukuna, a powerful and malevolent cursed spirit. This act makes him the vessel for Sukuna, granting him immense power but also placing him in constant danger.

After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji is recruited by Jujutsu High, a secret school for Jujutsu Sorcerers. Under the guidance of Satoru Gojo, he begins training to control Sukuna's power and ultimately collect and consume all of Sukuna's fingers in order to exorcise the curse permanently from his body and the world.

Despite the immense burden and the threat of Sukuna, Yuji remains determined to help others and find meaning in his new existence as a Jujutsu Sorcerer. His inherent kindness and unwavering resolve make him a compelling and complex character.
