Franco Harris was a legendary American football player, best known for his 13 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A powerful and elusive running back, Harris played college football at Penn State before being drafted 13th overall by the Steelers in 1972.
He was instrumental in the Steelers' dynasty of the 1970s, contributing significantly to their four Super Bowl victories. Harris was renowned for "The Immaculate Reception," a miraculous catch in a 1972 playoff game against the Oakland Raiders, considered one of the greatest plays in NFL history.
A nine-time Pro Bowler and the 1972 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Harris amassed over 12,000 rushing yards during his career.
