Biography:
Denji, also known as Chainsaw Man, is the protagonist of the manga and anime series of the same name. He is a young man burdened by extreme poverty and forced to work off his deceased father's massive debt to the Yakuza.
His life takes a dramatic turn when he merges with Pochita, a Chainsaw Devil, effectively becoming a Devil-Human hybrid. This grants him the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws.
Following the Yakuza's betrayal and subsequent massacre, Denji is recruited by Makima into Public Safety Devil Hunters, a government organization dedicated to fighting Devils. His primary motivation is to live a comfortable life and experience simple pleasures, like eating good food and having relationships.
Throughout the series, Denji struggles with his identity, grappling with being both human and Devil. He also grapples with the manipulation and control exerted over him, particularly by Makima, leading to profound personal and emotional turmoil.
