Zhang Mancheng was a leader of the Yellow Turban Rebellion in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, as depicted in the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He incited rebellion in Nanyang commandery.
After proclaiming himself "General of Heaven," Zhang Mancheng led his rebel forces in attacks against government officials and local elites. He achieved some initial success, capturing Wancheng, the capital of Nanyang.
He was eventually killed in battle.
