Biography:
Henry Creel, also known as One and later Vecna, is a primary antagonist in the Netflix science fiction horror series Stranger Things.
Born in 1947, Henry displayed disturbing psychokinetic abilities from a young age, leading his family to move to Hawkins, Indiana in hopes of a fresh start. His powers manifested in controlling animals, inflicting vivid nightmares, and ultimately manipulating his parents, whom he then murdered using his abilities.
Dr. Martin Brenner, recognizing Henry's immense potential, took him into Hawkins National Laboratory and attempted to harness his powers. Henry was designated "One" and became the first child test subject in Brenner's program. Fearful of his uncontrollable nature, Brenner implanted a device in Henry's neck, suppressing his powers.
While working as an orderly at the lab, Henry manipulates Eleven into removing the device, triggering a massacre at the lab. During a confrontation with Eleven, she overpowers him, opening a gate to the Upside Down and banishing him there.
Over several years, trapped in the Upside Down, he is changed by the environment and begins a plot to destroy the world, taking on the persona of Vecna.
