Son Goku, often simply called Goku, is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama. He is a Saiyan, an extraterrestrial warrior race, who was sent to Earth as an infant with the mission to conquer the planet. However, a head injury as a child altered his memory and turned him into a kind-hearted individual with a strong sense of justice.
