Cell is a major antagonist in the Dragon Ball Z anime and manga series. Created by Dr. Gero, the Red Ribbon Army's head scientist, Cell is an artificial life form engineered to possess the perfect attributes of the strongest warriors in the universe.
His creation involved collecting cells from Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, and King Cold. These cells were then synthesized into a bio-android designed for ultimate power and destruction. He begins as a larval form and must absorb Androids 17 and 18 to reach his "Perfect Form."
Cell's primary goal is to achieve this Perfect Form, which he believes will grant him unstoppable power. He orchestrates numerous battles and manipulates events to force the Androids into a position where he can absorb them.
