Biography:
Jinbe, also known as "Knight of the Sea" and formerly "First Son of the Sea," is a whale shark fish-man and a prominent character in the manga and anime series One Piece.
He hails from Fish-Man Island and was originally a member of the Sun Pirates, led by Fisher Tiger. Jinbe eventually became the captain of his own crew and was later invited to become a Shichibukai (one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea) by the World Government, a position he accepted to protect Fish-Man Island.
Jinbe resigned from the Shichibukai to side with Whitebeard during the Paramount War in Marineford. Following Whitebeard's death and the end of the war, Jinbe pledged his allegiance to Monkey D. Luffy and eventually became the tenth member of the Straw Hat Pirates, fulfilling a long-awaited role as the crew's helmsman.
Known for his exceptional knowledge of the sea, mastery of Fish-Man Karate, and strong sense of honor, Jinbe is a powerful and reliable ally to Luffy and his crew, playing a critical role in their adventures across the Grand Line.
