Hyuga Neji was a prodigy from the Hyuga clan in the anime and manga series Naruto. Born into the Branch House, his fate was predetermined to serve and protect the Main House, a destiny enforced by a cursed seal placed on his forehead.

Initially, Neji was bitter and resentful, believing that fate was unchangeable and that those born weak were doomed to remain so. This belief fueled his intense rivalry with Naruto Uzumaki, whom he viewed as a "failure" attempting to defy his own fate.

His exceptional talent with the Byakugan, a visual jutsu unique to the Hyuga clan, allowed him to see chakra pathways and target vital points. He excelled in Gentle Fist techniques, making him a formidable opponent.

During the Chunin Exams, his battle against Naruto and subsequent conversations with his uncle, Hyuga Hiashi, led to a significant shift in his perspective. He began to question his rigid beliefs and strive to defy the predetermined path set for him.

Neji dedicated himself to protecting his friends and village, ultimately sacrificing his life during the Fourth Shinobi World War to shield Naruto and Hinata from an attack. His sacrifice became a symbol of breaking free from fate and choosing one's own destiny.
