Moon Knight, also known as Marc Spector, is a complex and multifaceted character within the Marvel Universe. He is a former mercenary who, near death in Egypt, was revived by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.
This resurrection imbued him with enhanced strength, endurance, and reflexes, which fluctuate with the phases of the moon. Whether these powers are supernatural in origin, or a manifestation of Spector's pre-existing mental instability, is a recurring theme.
Spector suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID), and operates under multiple identities, including the wealthy Steven Grant, taxi driver Jake Lockley, and the costumed vigilante Moon Knight. These identities grant him access to diverse resources and perspectives, but also make him an unreliable narrator, blurring the line between reality and illusion.
