Fred Weasley (1 April, 1978 – 2 May, 1998) was an English pure-blood wizard, a son of Arthur Weasley and Molly Weasley (née Prewett), brother to Bill, Charlie, Percy, Ron, and Ginny Weasley, and twin brother to George Weasley. Fred's first few years were marked by the height of the First Wizarding War and when Lord Voldemort fell for the first time.
Fred Weasley was a pivotal character in the Harry Potter series, known for his humor, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit. Born on April 1, 1978, he was a twin to George Weasley and one of seven children of Arthur and Molly Weasley. He was a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Fred, along with George, were notorious pranksters, brightening Hogwarts with their jokes and inventions. Their mischievous nature often provided comedic relief amidst the darker themes of the books. They displayed a keen talent for creating joke products, foreshadowing their future careers.
Throughout the series, Fred's loyalty to his family and friends, and his bravery, were consistently highlighted. He was a member of Dumbledore's Army and actively participated in the Battle of Hogwarts against Lord Voldemort's forces.
Tragically, Fred was killed during the Battle of Hogwarts by an explosion. His death was a devastating blow to his family, particularly his twin brother George, and served as a stark reminder of the cost of war. Before his death, he co-owned and operated Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, a successful joke shop, with his brother George, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and innovation.
