Arsenal, also known as Roy Harper, is a DC Comics character who experienced a significant reinvention during the Rebirth era.
Originally Green Arrow's sidekick Speedy, Harper's Rebirth incarnation retains his skilled archery and martial arts prowess. However, his backstory is a mix of his original origin and the New 52 continuity.
Like previous versions, Harper struggled with substance abuse. The Rebirth storyline delves into these past demons as he attempts to rebuild his life and career as a hero. He continues to be associated with the Teen Titans and the Outsiders.
Arsenal uses his skills as an archer and weapons master, but in some iterations becomes focused on technology to aid in his vigilantism. He has an on-again, off-again relationship with Cheshire and is the father of Lian Harper.
