Master Roshi, also known as the Turtle Hermit, is a central character in the Dragon Ball series. He is a powerful and ancient martial arts master, considered one of the strongest humans in his prime. He lives on a small island called Kame House.
Roshi trained Grandpa Gohan, Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha, instilling in them the core principles of his Turtle School: train hard, study well, eat and sleep well, and be honest. He is the creator of the iconic Kamehameha energy wave technique.
Despite his wisdom and strength, Roshi is often portrayed as a lecherous and eccentric old man. His perverted tendencies often provide comedic relief, though he maintains a strong moral compass underneath. He deeply cares for his students and acts as a mentor throughout their lives.
