Sergei Kravinoff, known as Kraven the Hunter, is a formidable villain in the Marvel Universe, primarily associated with Spider-Man. Born into a Russian aristocratic family, Kraven became obsessed with hunting and proving himself the world's greatest hunter. This pursuit led him down a path of increasingly dangerous game and exotic locales.

Kraven's hunting prowess is enhanced by a special serum that grants him superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and slowed aging. He is also a master tactician, tracker, and hand-to-hand combatant. Unlike some villains, Kraven rarely uses technology, preferring to rely on his natural abilities and skill.

Driven by a warped sense of honor and a desire to defeat Spider-Man in a fair fight, Kraven's obsession with the wall-crawler often consumes him. His most infamous storyline, "Kraven's Last Hunt," sees him defeat and seemingly kill Spider-Man, bury him, and then impersonate him in a misguided attempt to prove himself superior. He then takes his own life, believing he has finally achieved his ultimate victory.

Despite his death, Kraven has been resurrected and cloned multiple times in the comics, continuing to be a persistent threat in the Marvel Universe. His family, including his sons Vladimir and Alyosha, and daughter Ana, have often carried on his hunting legacy, creating further problems for Spider-Man and other heroes.
