Brock Rumlow, better known as Crossbones, is a notorious mercenary and supervillain in the Marvel Universe. He lacks superpowers but is a highly skilled marksman, hand-to-hand combatant, and tactician.

Rumlow's origins lie in leading a street gang on New York City's Lower East Side. He later joined Taskmaster's school for criminals, honing his combat abilities. His ruthlessness and skill led him to become a key operative for the Red Skull.

Crossbones is primarily known as a staunch follower of the Red Skull and Hydra. He frequently serves as a bodyguard, enforcer, and assassin. He is responsible for numerous acts of terrorism and violence on behalf of his employers.

His most infamous act is arguably his involvement in the assassination of Captain America (Steve Rogers) following the events of the "Civil War" storyline. Although brainwashed Sharon Carter fired the fatal shot, Crossbones played a crucial role in distracting Captain America.

Crossbones is a recurring antagonist, often clashing with Captain America, the Avengers, and other heroes. His loyalty to evil and his lethal skills make him a dangerous and formidable foe.
