Biography:
Piotr "Peter" Rasputin, better known as Colossus, is a prominent member of the X-Men in Marvel Comics. Born in a Siberian collective farm, he possesses the mutant ability to transform his entire body into organic steel. This grants him immense strength, durability, and stamina.
The Phoenix Five storyline saw Colossus become one of five X-Men to be partially possessed by the Phoenix Force. Together with Cyclops, Emma Frost, Namor, and Magik, they sought to reshape the world into a utopia, but their methods became increasingly authoritarian. As part of the Phoenix Five, Colossus gained vastly amplified powers from the cosmic entity.
While empowered by the Phoenix Force, Colossus's strength and durability were enhanced to an almost unimaginable degree. He wielded the Phoenix's cosmic fire, granting him telekinetic and telepathic abilities. However, the immense power corrupted him, leading to conflicts with his fellow X-Men and ultimately contributing to the Phoenix Five's downfall. He eventually lost the Phoenix Force after a confrontation with Spider-Man and the Avengers.
