Leatherface is a fictional character from the horror franchise The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He is the primary antagonist, known for his disturbing mask made of human skin and his weapon of choice: a chainsaw.
Born as Jedidiah Sawyer, Leatherface is mentally impaired and heavily influenced by his family, a group of cannibalistic killers. He acts as their enforcer, protecting their isolated homestead and providing them with "meat."
Leatherface's appearance varies slightly across the films, but he is generally portrayed as a large, imposing figure. He wears different masks, each seemingly representing a different "persona" or mood, derived from the faces of his victims.
