Dagger, whose real name is Tandy Bowen, is a Marvel Comics superheroine. She debuted in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #64 in 1982. Tandy is a key half of the heroic duo, Cloak and Dagger.
A runaway from a wealthy but neglectful family, Tandy met Tyrone Johnson (Cloak) on the streets of New York City. Both teens were kidnapped and subjected to experimental drugs by a criminal chemist. This granted them their superpowers.
Dagger possesses the power to generate "light daggers" from her hands. These daggers can heal, purify, and drain life force. She is also immune to most drugs and toxins. Her light powers provide a contrast to Cloak's darkness powers, and together they fight crime, primarily targeting drug dealers and those who prey on the vulnerable. Dagger represents hope and purity, often acting as Cloak's emotional anchor.
