Jor-El was a brilliant Kryptonian scientist, renowned for his advanced understanding of astrophysics and engineering. He served on Krypton's Science Council and lived in the city of Kandor.
His most significant contribution was his prediction of Krypton's imminent destruction due to the planet's unstable core. He developed a plan to save Kryptonian civilization, but his warnings were largely ignored by the Science Council.
Unable to convince the Council, Jor-El dedicated his efforts to saving his infant son, Kal-El. He constructed a rocket and sent Kal-El to Earth moments before Krypton exploded, imbuing him with Kryptonian DNA and giving him great powers on earth.
Jor-El's intellect and foresight ensured the survival of his son and, arguably, a piece of Kryptonian heritage. His legacy is primarily defined by his selfless act of sending Kal-El to a new home and safeguarding him from Krypton's doom.
