Scarlet Spider is the alias used by multiple characters in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with Spider-Man.

The original and most well-known Scarlet Spider is Ben Reilly. He was a clone of Peter Parker, created by the Jackal. Initially believing himself to be the original Peter, Ben eventually accepted his cloned status and struck out on his own. He adopted the Scarlet Spider identity, characterized by his distinctive blue hoodie and web-shooters.

Ben operated as Scarlet Spider for a time, even temporarily replacing Peter Parker as Spider-Man during the controversial "Clone Saga." He was believed to have died saving Peter from the Green Goblin, Norman Osborn.

Other characters have also used the Scarlet Spider moniker, including Kaine Parker, another clone of Peter Parker. Unlike Ben, Kaine was a flawed clone, initially depicted as a villain. He later redeemed himself and adopted the Scarlet Spider identity, operating primarily in Houston. He possesses enhanced strength and senses and uses unique versions of Spider-Man's abilities.

Both Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker have complex and often tragic histories, exploring themes of identity, purpose, and redemption within the Spider-Man mythos. They continue to make appearances in Marvel Comics, often alongside or in opposition to Spider-Man.
