Anti-Venom is a character appearing in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with Spider-Man. Eddie Brock, formerly the host of the Venom symbiote, is the individual who becomes Anti-Venom.
After separating from Venom, Brock develops cancer. While working at a F.E.A.S.T. center, Martin Li (Mister Negative) uses his powers to inadvertently imbue Brock with unique white blood cells. These cells fuse with remnants of the Venom symbiote still within Brock's body, creating the Anti-Venom symbiote.
Unlike Venom, Anti-Venom has healing properties and can cure diseases and remove other symbiotes from their hosts. He initially seeks to "cure" people of their powers, believing they are a disease. His motivations later evolve, and he uses his abilities to help others.
The Anti-Venom symbiote eventually sacrifices itself to create an antidote to a symbiote plague, leaving Brock powerless. He later bonds with the Toxin symbiote, losing those powers as well, and ultimately rejoins the Venom symbiote once more. Anti-Venom has since reappeared with different hosts.
