Robin is a fictional superhero appearing in DC Comics publications. Created by Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and Jerry Robinson, the original Robin, Dick Grayson, debuted in 1940.
Dick Grayson, an orphaned acrobat whose parents were murdered, was taken in by Bruce Wayne (Batman) and trained to be his crime-fighting partner. He provided a youthful, energetic contrast to Batman's brooding demeanor. As Robin, Grayson used his acrobatic skills and detective abilities to assist Batman in Gotham City.
Over the years, several other characters have assumed the mantle of Robin, including Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Damian Wayne. Each Robin has brought their own unique skills and personality to the role, while maintaining the core elements of acrobatic prowess and a dedication to justice.
Robin is a vital part of the Batman mythos and has been featured in numerous comic books, animated series, films, and video games. He has also gone on to become his own hero in adulthood, most famously as Nightwing.
