Waylon Jones, better known as Killer Croc, is a DC Comics supervillain and frequent adversary of Batman. He suffers from a genetic condition resembling epidermolytic hyperkeratosis, giving him a reptilian appearance. This condition causes his skin to harden and scale, leading to his monstrous transformation.

Initially, Jones sought to capitalize on his appearance as a sideshow attraction, performing as a wrestler. However, his condition progressively worsened, driving him to a life of crime. His enhanced strength, durability, and heightened senses make him a formidable opponent in close combat. He resides primarily in Gotham City's sewers, utilizing his aquatic abilities for navigation and ambushes.

Over time, Croc's mental state deteriorates alongside his physical transformation, turning him into a more animalistic creature. He often displays cannibalistic tendencies and struggles to control his primal urges. While initially motivated by wealth and power, his increasingly bestial nature shifts his focus to basic survival and instinctual desires.
