Illyana Rasputina, better known as Magik, is a powerful mutant from Marvel Comics. She is the younger sister of the X-Man Colossus.

Born in Russia, Illyana was kidnapped as a child and taken to Limbo, a demonic dimension. There, she was trained in sorcery and her mutant teleportation powers manifested. She aged seven years in Limbo, learning dark magic from the demon Belasco.

During her time in Limbo, she formed a mystical link with the dimension, becoming its Sorceress Supreme and wielding the Soulsword, a weapon forged from a piece of her own soul. The Soulsword negates magic and harms mystical beings.

Eventually, Illyana returned to Earth, but her personality had been drastically altered by her experiences. She struggled to control her powers and the darkness within her. Despite her internal struggles, she became a valuable member of the New Mutants and later, the X-Men.

Magik's powers include teleportation, magic, and control over Limbo. She is a complex and often conflicted character, torn between her good intentions and the corrupting influence of her powers and the demonic dimension she rules.
