Master Roshi, also known as the Turtle Hermit, is a central character in the Dragon Ball franchise. He is a wise and powerful martial arts master, albeit with a pronounced perverted streak.

Roshi is hundreds of years old, his extended lifespan attributed to drinking the Elixir of Life. He resides on a small island called Kame House, accompanied by his pet turtle, Turtle, and often students.

He trained Grandpa Gohan, Ox-King, and, most notably, Goku and Krillin. Roshi emphasizes a rigorous training regime combined with intellectual and moral lessons, though his methods are often unorthodox.

Master Roshi is the creator of the iconic Kamehameha wave, a signature energy attack used by many characters throughout the series. While his fighting prowess diminishes as the series progresses, he remains a respected mentor and invaluable ally.
