Loki, often referred to as the God of Mischief, is a prominent figure in Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Originally depicted as the adopted brother and frequent antagonist of Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, Loki's character has evolved into a more complex and, at times, sympathetic figure.
Born a Frost Giant in Jotunheim, Loki was abandoned by his father, Laufey, and later adopted by Odin, the Allfather of Asgard. Raised alongside Thor, he always felt overshadowed by his brother's strength and destined role as king. This sense of inferiority fueled his resentment and often led to schemes aimed at usurping the Asgardian throne.
