Biography:
Cletus Kasady is a fictional supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics, most notably as the host of the Carnage symbiote. Born a sociopath with a deeply disturbed childhood, Kasady's violent tendencies manifested early.
He became a serial killer and was eventually incarcerated at Ryker's Island. It was there he met Eddie Brock, the host of the Venom symbiote. When Venom later broke out of prison, a portion of the symbiote remained and bonded with Kasady through a wound.
This new symbiote, dubbed Carnage, amplified Kasady's already homicidal nature, making him an even greater threat than Venom. Unlike Venom, Carnage enjoyed causing chaos and destruction, resulting in a high body count. Carnage is often portrayed as an antithesis to Venom, representing pure evil and unbridled violence.
Over the years, Kasady/Carnage has been a recurring adversary of Spider-Man and Venom, requiring their cooperation to be defeated. The character's brutality and unpredictable nature have cemented him as one of Spider-Man's most dangerous and psychologically complex foes.
