Carnage is a supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics, primarily as an adversary of Spider-Man and Venom. His real name is Cletus Kasady, a psychopathic serial killer.
Kasady became Carnage when an offspring of the Venom symbiote bonded with him permanently during a prison escape. This new symbiote amplified Kasady's already violent tendencies, creating a being of immense power and instability.
Unlike Venom, the Carnage symbiote merges directly with its host's bloodstream, making separation nearly impossible and enhancing Kasady's abilities beyond even Venom's. He possesses super strength, speed, agility, and durability, as well as the ability to shape-shift and create bladed weapons from his own body.
Carnage is driven by a desire for chaos and destruction, often engaging in random acts of violence without any discernible motive beyond spreading terror. He represents a darker, more unhinged version of the symbiote concept than Venom, making him a formidable and unpredictable foe.
