The Weeping Angels are a formidable race of quantum-locked predators from the BBC science fiction television series, Doctor Who. Perhaps their most unsettling characteristic is their serene, weeping statue facade.
When observed, Weeping Angels are frozen in a petrified, stone-like form. This quantum-locking defense mechanism renders them harmless as long as they are viewed. However, the instant they are not observed – even for a blink – they can move with incredible speed and silence.
