CT-7567, more famously known as Captain Rex, was a clone trooper officer in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He served directly under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano, forging strong bonds with both.
Rex was distinguished by his unwavering loyalty, tactical prowess, and independent thinking, qualities that set him apart from many of his clone brethren. He frequently questioned orders and demonstrated a willingness to challenge authority when he believed it was in the best interest of his men and the Republic.
He was a veteran of numerous battles, including Christophsis, Ryloth, and Umbara. During the Clone Wars, Rex gradually grew disillusioned with the conflict and eventually removed his inhibitor chip, which was designed to force clone troopers to execute Order 66. This act of defiance saved his life and allowed him to aid Ahsoka Tano during the purge of the Jedi Order.
After the Clone Wars, Rex joined the rebellion against the Galactic Empire, using his knowledge and experience to train new recruits and fight for the restoration of the Republic. He fought alongside Captain Gregor and Commander Wolffe, fellow clones who had also removed their chips.
