The Hoglin is a hostile mob found in the Nether dimension of Minecraft, specifically in crimson forests and bastion remnants. These large, boar-like creatures are known for their aggressive nature, attacking players and other mobs on sight.

Hoglins are characterized by their tough hides, sharp tusks, and tendency to travel in groups. They are notable as one of the few sources of food in the Nether, dropping porkchops upon death. Players can also obtain leather from them, a valuable resource in a biome where cows are absent.

An interesting behavioral quirk of Hoglins is their aversion to warped fungi. Players can use these fungi, or the fungi on a stick variant, to deter Hoglins. Baby Hoglins, known as Piglins, are not aggressive, but grow into hostile Hoglins that attack anyone who threatens their groups.

In the Overworld, Hoglins transform into Zoglins, undead variants that are permanently hostile to all mobs, including other Zoglins. This transformation occurs after a certain amount of time spent in the Overworld.
