Biography:
Garfield "Gar" Logan, better known as Beast Boy, is a DC Comics superhero. He is a founding member of the Teen Titans and a prominent figure in the Doom Patrol.
Gar's origin is rooted in tragedy. While on a family expedition in Africa, he contracted Sakutia, a rare and deadly disease. His parents, scientists searching for a cure, ultimately used an experimental serum derived from a green monkey to save him. While the serum saved his life, it also turned his skin permanently green and granted him the metahuman ability to shapeshift.
Beast Boy possesses the power to transform into any animal, both real and extinct, that he has seen or has knowledge of. He retains his green coloration in animal form. His transformations grant him the abilities and attributes of the animal he mimics.
Known for his lighthearted personality and vegetarian lifestyle, Beast Boy provides comic relief within his teams. Despite his jovial demeanor, he grapples with the trauma of his past, including the loss of his parents and the lasting effects of his transformation.
