Adrian Toomes, better known as the Vulture, is a Marvel Comics supervillain and a recurring foe of Spider-Man.
A former electronics engineer and business partner, Toomes was cheated out of his share of their company by Gregory Bestman. This betrayal fueled a deep resentment and a desire for revenge.
Toomes constructed a special electromagnetic harness that granted him the power of flight and enhanced strength. He originally used this technology to exact revenge on Bestman and others he felt had wronged him.
The Vulture is characterized by his advanced age and predatory nature. His suit allows him to soar through the skies and engage in aerial combat. He is a founding member of the Sinister Six, a team of Spider-Man's most dangerous adversaries.
