Nathan Summers, better known as Cable, is a prominent figure in the Marvel Universe, particularly during the Marvel NOW! era. Born to Cyclops (Scott Summers) and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey), his life was irrevocably altered in infancy.
He was infected with the Techno-Organic Virus by Apocalypse, a disease that threatened to consume him. To save his life, he was sent to the future, where advanced technology could keep the virus at bay. There, he grew into a hardened warrior.
