Biography:
The Third Doctor, portrayed by Jon Pertwee, was the Doctor's third incarnation in the long-running BBC science fiction series, Doctor Who. His era began in 1970 following a regeneration caused by the Time Lords as punishment for interfering with their laws.
Unlike his predecessors, the Third Doctor was initially exiled to Earth, stripped of his TARDIS and knowledge of how to operate it.
