Jason Todd, in the New 52 continuity, is the second Robin, following Dick Grayson. He is recruited by Batman after being discovered attempting to steal the tires off the Batmobile.
Unlike Dick Grayson's more lighthearted approach, Jason is rebellious and prone to violence, often clashing with Batman's methods. His recklessness and disregard for orders lead to increasing tension between the two.
Jason's time as Robin is tragically cut short when he is captured by the Joker and brutally beaten with a crowbar before being killed in an explosion. This event profoundly impacts Batman, fueling his already intense crusade against crime.
However, Jason's story doesn't end there. He is later resurrected by Talia al Ghul using the Lazarus Pit. This resurrection comes at a cost, leaving him mentally unstable and consumed by rage toward both Batman and the Joker.
Following his resurrection, Jason adopts the identity of the Red Hood, a vigilante who is willing to use lethal force to combat crime, directly opposing Batman's code. He operates outside the law, becoming both an enemy and a reluctant ally to the Bat-Family.
