Bro Thor, also known as Fat Thor or Lebowski Thor, is a version of the Marvel Comics character Thor Odinson introduced in the film Avengers: Endgame.
Following his failure to defeat Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and the subsequent decimation of half of all life, Thor retreated into self-imposed exile in the Norwegian village of New Asgard. Over five years, he descended into a state of depression and alcoholism, neglecting his appearance and physical well-being. He gained a considerable amount of weight and adopted a disheveled appearance, resembling Jeff Bridges' character, The Dude, from the film The Big Lebowski.
Despite his changed physique and demeanor, Bro Thor retained his powers and abilities, eventually joining the Avengers on their time heist to retrieve the Infinity Stones and undo Thanos's actions. Though initially reluctant, he ultimately proved instrumental in the final battle against Thanos.
Bro Thor's arc explores themes of grief, guilt, and self-worth. While his appearance was initially played for comedic effect, the character also represented a poignant portrayal of the psychological toll of trauma and loss.
