Thor Odinson, as depicted in Marvel's *Avengers: Infinity War*, is the Asgardian God of Thunder. Born to Odin, King of Asgard, and Frigga, he possesses immense strength, durability, and the power to control lightning.

Prior to the events of *Infinity War*, Thor faced numerous trials, including battles against his adopted brother Loki, the destruction of his home planet Asgard, and the loss of his father. These experiences fundamentally changed him, maturing him from an arrogant prince into a more humble and strategic warrior.

In *Infinity War*, Thor seeks to forge a new weapon, Stormbreaker, capable of defeating Thanos, who threatens the entire universe. He undertakes a perilous journey with Rocket Raccoon and Groot to Nidavellir, where he endures near-fatal conditions to reignite a dying star and power the forge.

Thor is left devastated and guilt-ridden, blaming himself for failing to stop Thanos, a failure that sets the stage for his arc in *Avengers: Endgame*.
