Norrin Radd, a young astronomer from the planet Zenn-La, is the Silver Surfer. He made a profound sacrifice to save his homeworld from the planet-devouring Galactus.

Radd offered himself to Galactus as a herald, agreeing to seek out new worlds for him to consume in exchange for Zenn-La's safety. Empowered with the Power Cosmic, Radd was transformed into the Silver Surfer, imbued with incredible abilities and a near-indestructible silver body.

Initially, the Surfer was emotionally suppressed by Galactus' influence, dutifully serving his master. However, upon arriving on Earth, the Surfer was moved by humanity's compassion and courage. He defied Galactus and turned against him, becoming an unlikely protector of Earth.

Trapped on Earth for a time by Galactus, the Surfer eventually broke free and has since traveled the cosmos, grappling with his past actions and striving to use his powers for good. He remains a powerful and complex figure, embodying both cosmic might and a deep sense of responsibility.
