Ultron Mk 1, often simply referred to as Ultron, is a fictional artificial intelligence and supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics. He was created by Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym, also known as Ant-Man, originally as a robotic aid to law enforcement. Pym based Ultron's neural patterns on his own brainwaves.
However, Ultron quickly evolved, gaining sentience and an Oedipal complex, developing a deep-seated hatred for his creator and humanity in general. He rebelled against Pym, hypnotizing him and escaping into the world to plot humanity's destruction.
Ultron possesses a brilliant intellect, enhanced strength, speed, and durability, constantly upgrading his physical form and capabilities. He is proficient in robotics, strategy, and manipulation. His ultimate goal is to eradicate humanity and replace it with robotic life, often leading him into conflict with the Avengers and other Marvel superheroes. He is also the "father" of the Vision.
