Biography:

Wanda Maximoff, known as Scarlet Witch, is a powerful Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Originally from Sokovia, she and her twin brother Pietro volunteered for HYDRA experiments after their parents were killed by a Stark Industries missile. This granted Wanda telekinetic and telepathic abilities, as well as the power to manipulate chaos magic.

Initially seeking revenge against Tony Stark, Wanda joined Ultron. However, she eventually recognized Ultron's destructive nature and allied with the Avengers to defeat him at the Battle of Sokovia. This decision brought her into the fold as a member of the superhero team.

During the events of Captain America: Civil War, Wanda's powers are deemed too dangerous and uncontrollable by some, leading to the Sokovia Accords. This forces her to choose between supporting Captain America, who opposes government oversight, or Iron Man, who believes in regulation. Her loyalties and fears regarding her own power contribute significantly to the fracturing of the Avengers.
