Nathan Summers, better known as Cable, is a complex and powerful mutant from Marvel Comics. He is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey), born in the future. Infected with the Techno-Organic Virus at a young age, Cable was sent to the future to be cured, though the virus remained a constant battle for him.
Raised in the future, Nathan became a skilled warrior and leader. His primary mission is to prevent the dystopian future from which he hails. This often puts him at odds with present-day heroes and villains alike.
