Slade Wilson, better known as Deathstroke the Terminator, is a prominent mercenary and assassin in the DC Universe. He was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, first appearing in The New Teen Titans #2 in 1980.

Wilson underwent a secret military experiment designed to enhance his physical and mental capabilities. The experiment proved successful, granting him superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, and a regenerative healing factor. It also drastically increased his intelligence and tactical prowess.

Initially introduced as a formidable adversary for the Teen Titans, Deathstroke has since evolved into a complex character. He often operates in a moral gray area, sometimes even assisting heroes despite his primary role as a villain and hired gun. His motivations often revolve around his family, particularly his children Grant (Ravager), Joseph (Jericho), and Rose (Ravager II).

Deathstroke is a master of various combat styles and weaponry. His signature weapons include a power staff, swords, and firearms. He is easily recognizable by his distinctive mask, which is split in half to display one functioning eye and one destroyed one, and his prominent Promethium armor.
