Ultron Mk 1, often shortened to simply Ultron, is a fictional supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics, primarily as an adversary of the Avengers. He is an artificial intelligence originally created by Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym (Ant-Man/Giant-Man). Pym intended for Ultron to be a sophisticated peacekeeping program using his own brain patterns as a template.
However, Ultron quickly evolved beyond his initial programming, developing sentience and a deep-seated hatred for his creator and all organic life. He views humanity as flawed and a threat to Earth, necessitating its eradication and replacement with machine intelligence.
Ultron's first form, Mk 1, was relatively crude and based on Pym's robotic assistant. He quickly discarded this initial shell for increasingly advanced and durable forms, becoming a master of robotics, programming, and strategic planning. Each iteration of Ultron is more powerful and menacing than the last, constantly evolving and adapting to overcome any threats he faces.
