Scott Lang, known as Ant-Man, is a key figure in the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Civil War. A former electrical engineer and thief, Lang was recruited by Hank Pym to take over the Ant-Man mantle and utilize the shrinking technology developed by Pym.
During the Avengers' internal conflict sparked by the Sokovia Accords, Lang initially joined Captain America's faction. His decision stemmed from a desire to help Cap and because, simply put, he was excited to be part of the Avengers. His unique abilities, including the power to shrink to ant-size and grow to giant-size (Giant-Man), proved valuable in their fight against Iron Man's team.
Lang's involvement in the airport battle at Leipzig-Halle Airport resulted in his capture and imprisonment in the Raft. While eventually freed, his participation marked a significant chapter in the Civil War and solidified his role as a relatively new but important member of the superhero community.
