Biography:

Scott Lang, portrayed by Paul Rudd, is the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Ant-Man. A former electrical engineer with a master's degree from MIT, Scott turned to burglary after struggling to find legitimate employment following his release from prison.

He was recruited by Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, to steal the Ant-Man suit from Pym's former company, Pym Technologies. Pym intended this as a test of Scott's abilities and suitability to become the new Ant-Man, tasked with keeping the technology out of the wrong hands.

Scott possesses the Ant-Man suit, which allows him to shrink to ant-size or grow to giant-size (Giant-Man). He has enhanced strength and durability while in these altered states. His suit is connected to a specialized helmet allowing for control and communication with various species of ants. He has used his abilities to help save the world alongside the Avengers.

Scott Lang is also a loving father to his daughter, Cassie Lang, a central motivator for his actions and heroism. He adds humor and a relatable everyman perspective to the world-saving team.
