Biography:
Throg, also known as Puddlegulp, is a Marvel Comics character whose origin is intertwined with Thor Odinson. Born Simon Walterson, a human football star, he was cursed by a Romani witch after mistreating her.
The curse transformed Walterson into a frog. While living among other frogs in Central Park, he encountered a sliver of Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, which had been broken during a battle. This fragment, imbued with the Worthy enchantment, allowed Walterson to lift it and gain Thor's powers.
Transforming into Throg, the Frog of Thunder, he possessed a miniature version of Thor's strength, durability, and the ability to summon lightning. He became a protector of his amphibian brethren, fighting alongside other heroes on occasion.
Though his appearances have been sporadic, Throg has become a fan-favorite character, representing the whimsical and imaginative side of the Marvel Universe. He embodies the idea that heroism can be found in the most unexpected forms and that even the smallest creature can wield great power for good.
