Biography:

Militant, also known as Colonel Nikolai Karkov, is a Marvel Comics character associated with the X-Men. He is a Russian mutant with the power to control and manipulate various forms of energy, including electricity and radiation.

Karkov served in the Soviet military, rising to the rank of Colonel. His mutant abilities were instrumental in his career. He was a member of the Soviet Super-Soldiers and later affiliated with the Winter Guard, a team of Russian superheroes.

Militant's powers make him a formidable opponent. He can project energy blasts, create force fields, and absorb energy attacks. He has faced the X-Men on several occasions, often as an antagonist representing Soviet or Russian interests. While typically a foe, his motives are often driven by patriotism rather than outright malice. He has also been known to work alongside Western heroes when circumstances demand it.
