Zombie Captain America, also known as Colonel America or Patient Zero, is a zombified version of Steve Rogers from an alternate Marvel universe (Earth-2149) depicted in the Marvel Zombies comic book series. He is not a reanimated corpse of the original Steve Rogers, but rather a version of him infected by a zombie virus originating from another reality.
He maintains his superhuman strength, speed, agility, and fighting skills even in his undead state. However, unlike the heroic Captain America, Zombie Captain America is driven by an insatiable hunger for human flesh. He leads the zombified Avengers and plays a central role in spreading the zombie plague across the Marvel universe.
Initially believing they could control their hunger, the zombies, including Captain America, quickly succumbed to their base instincts. He participates in the systematic devouring of the Earth's population and even consumes iconic heroes and villains. Despite brief moments of regret or awareness, his hunger always takes precedence, making him a terrifying and formidable threat.
