Black Lantern Superman is a reanimated version of Superman from the DC Comics storyline "Blackest Night." After Superman's death and resurrection, his body was still vulnerable to the influence of the Black Lantern Corps.

Nekron, the embodiment of death, used a black power ring to raise Superman from the dead, turning him into a mindless zombie-like being. This Black Lantern Superman lacked his usual moral compass and displayed none of his heroic qualities.

His purpose was to spread death and recruit new members for the Black Lantern Corps. He retained his powers and abilities, making him an extremely dangerous and powerful opponent. He targeted those closest to him, attempting to exploit their emotional vulnerabilities and convert them into Black Lanterns as well.

Ultimately, he was defeated along with the other Black Lanterns when the various emotional spectrum corps combined their powers. While a terrifying corruption of the iconic hero, Black Lantern Superman served as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the corrupting influence of death in the DC Universe.
